When we celebrated 25 years of geocaching, we have pondered extraordinary ways that unite this hobby. Through adventure, creative collaboration, and community, this 25 years is very magical.
From the sensation of the first hiding to the joy of finding the community, most of this would not be possible without volunteers who played a major role to realize everything.
Whether you find a new Geocache today, find one on a long vacation, hide geocache, using geocaching.com or geocaching® cellular application in language other than English, or using our forum, you have a geocaching community volunteer to thank you! There are several types of volunteers in the world of geocaching that deserve our award.
There are almost 400 volunteers of the Geocaching community worldwide, including reviewers, Earthcache (Geoawares), translator, and forum moderators. They dedicate their time to help maintain the game when they review geocaches to meet geocaching and regional guidelines, translate our websites and applications, and keep our forum positive and useful.
Other community members also donated their time. The cache owner uses their creativity to make a fun cache while also taking the time to maintain it. The host of the event and the organizing team of Mega and Giga-Event also donated their time and tried hard to provide extraordinary social experience and pleasant pleasant pleasant to the community.
Interested in joining us to thank your local volunteers? Here are some ideas:
