The headlights, ropes, and climbing equipment are what you need to find a successful geocache in the cave – the limestone under the island of Mediterranean Mallorca – but there is a twist. There are rumors about a woman in this cave, and if you see it, she will give you a deep insight about the caves where she lives.

Mallorca is an island full of discovery, good food, and home for some serious geocaching activities. Whether it’s a sea cliff, cave, or rock climbing, there is always something in an angle that utilizes adventure. This week, the focus point of Mallorca is Dsom – Señora Na Mitjana (GC26W07).

Located deep in the east cave of the island, there are keys-locks that are very difficult to reach, but not without efforts by those who are brave enough to travel underground in pursuing this geocache. The entrance to the cave sets a good tone for hope; Simple holes in the ground near several cliffs and surrounded by seagrass.

Before entering the cave, it’s time to get ready. Some of the items listed on the cache page needed to make it to the cache are:

• 10 meter climbing rope
• Climbing equipment
• Helmet
• Flashlight with additional batteries

The trip to the cache is not for claustrophobic, because you have to squeeze through a stone tunnel and further tether into the cave. Finally reaching the room in the tunnel, the search begins for the cache. Seeing between stalactites and stalagmites, a corner in a rock large enough for one person to nest is a key indicator for cache. There, the key-key-key container hidden by Pullermann & Tossiman is there, and where you might meet cave women to learn their secret (hiding places for the cache, maybe?).

This is a natural point to celebrate the discovery after securing it, but there is still a long journey back to the surface, in this case, there may be some satisfaction that is delayed until everyone returns to a safe land.
