Ten years have passed since then Dragon Age: Inquisition. Not only in the real world but also in BioWare’s new RPG. In us Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil Tips and Tricks, we’ll show you what’s changed and how the combat and skill system works. We will also provide you with useful information about merchants, partners and more.

1) Tips for Maps

First, let’s take a look at the game map inside Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil. You can find global and local map views in the menu.

The world map shows all the areas to explore and highlights areas where missions are available. Not all missions will be presented to you in dialogue. So, it’s a good idea to check your map regularly and keep an eye out for side quest givers.

Dragon Age: Veilguard Tips for Maps

New missions can be identified in the global view by a glowing yellow exclamation mark at the bottom. The exact location will be displayed once you open the local map of the area.

When you enter a new area, it’s tempting to get out and explore. However, many areas were originally closed off by magical doors or barriers.

You can only explore most of the local maps as you progress through the story. And even after you complete all the main missions, there will always be places that are not yet accessible. You can return to it once you complete the associated side mission.

2) True Friends

As is usually the case with BioWare, companions play an important role in Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil. You are free to choose your friends throughout the game, so you can decide who you want to take with you on each mission. We recommend that you always bring people connected to the area you are in. This will give you additional information about the location, your quest, and the characters you meet.

Your choice of companions should also depend on the type of active mission you are on. For example, necromancers are a good choice for demons. You should also consider their combo abilities. In combat, you want to organize your team so you can use abilities to initiate and trigger explosions.

3) Friends Have Passive Skills

Each of your friends has abilities that can be triggered passively. You should always activate and level up this skill. Unlike your main character, Rook, the three available skills have a cooldown after use. This cooldown ensures you won’t use all your skills in battle.

To get the most out of your colleagues and make them as effective as possible Dragon Age: Guardians of the VeilYou must upgrade your passive skills to use them automatically in battle. Events that trigger passive skills vary from character to character.

4) Return to the Lighthouse Regularly

The lighthouse functions as a link Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil. Here, you’ll find all your companions and a camp you can retreat to between missions. Check regularly to see if any of your friends need to talk. Even though they don’t have other interaction options, if someone wants to tell you something, it’s often important and will help you on active missions or give you more information about the game world.

Speech bubbles indicate the need to speak. If you see a gray bubble above one of your friends, they want to get to know you better and exchange personal information. Red bubbles indicate important conversations. You influence the characters and their development through dialogue choices in these conversations. The conversation impacts the rest of the game. If there is an exclamation mark above an escort, it means they are looking for you.

5) Combine Skills

In us Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil Tips and Tricks, we can’t stress enough how important buffs are to victory in battle. Combine your abilities so you have one to tag and one to blow up. This combo system was not present in the previous series and is very useful against larger enemies.

An explosion will stun the target and damage the target and surrounding enemies. It’s best to set it up so that you start the combo with both companions and then trigger it with your main character, Rook. That way, you have two explosions instead of just one if you let your friend trigger it.

6) Skill Tips

In general, you should choose and develop skills that suit your personal playing style Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil. However, it is recommended that you upgrade skills that reduce the cooldown duration as often as possible. This will increase the number of actions you can perform per battle.

If you’re not satisfied with your build or your colleagues’ builds, don’t worry. There are no wrong skills, as you can reallocate your points at any time. This is done by rearranging the skills in reverse order. If a skill is generated from another skill, you can only reset the first skill by removing the second skill.

7) Equipment Cannot Be Sold

In the Dragon Age: Guardians of the VeilYou can only sell valuable items to merchants, not equipment. The only way to get new gold is to loot chests or chests and complete missions. If you are not satisfied with your armor, you can upgrade it. To ensure you get better items, we recommend upgrading the blacksmith at the lighthouse as soon as possible.

You can also change your appearance without buying new armor. Go to the hospital and stand in front of the mirror. There, you can change your hairstyle and other visual features. If you want to change the color of your armor, go to the cupboard in your room.

8) Trader Tips

Every faction in Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil have their own traders. As you increase your reputation in the community, their selection of items will grow, allowing you to purchase better equipment.

You can increase your reputation by completing faction missions or selling valuable items. The free trader also offers interesting upgrades.

You can find it in the town of Levendal, in Treviso market, and in houses and on various streets in Minrathous.

Some merchants even sell items that increase your stats permanently. For example, you can get more HP, more damage, and so on. These items are a shame to miss. It is best to browse each trader’s options carefully.

9) Dragon Age: Veil Guardian Tips for Combat

Aside from dialogue and exploration, combat will take up most of your time Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veil. Here are some practical tips to help you excel in battle:

  • Parry time does not depend on the difficulty level and can be changed separately in the settings.
  • The current status effect is displayed in the bottom left corner. Green is positive; red is negative. Keep an eye on this, and make sure you have more greens than red.
  • Enchant your lyrium dagger with runes. Feel free to experiment to find what best suits your playing style.
  • Pay attention to the colored circles in battle. If anything is red, you should avoid it. But if it’s yellow, this is a good time to parry.
  • It’s not just weapon damage that is important. Sometimes, a seemingly weaker weapon will be better if its stats match your build.
  • At least one character in your party must have healing abilities. Moreover, at higher levels, healing potions were almost useless.
  • Once you’ve confused your opponent, deliver a few more normal attacks before moving on to the finisher. Save the closure for the end.

10) Look for statues and chests

The Evanuris statue can increase your maximum health by +100, and the Fen’Harel altar gives you an additional skill point each.

Look for and explore all parts of the map to make sure you don’t miss anything. When you are near the altar, a wolf icon will appear below your mini map. At the Evanuris statue, destroy the floating plate to get a bonus.

In Fen’Harel, follow the gaze of the statue and find a glowing object.

Don’t ignore the treasure chest inside Dragon Age: Guardians of the Veilone of. They come in various shapes and sizes.

Most of them contained valuable items, materials, and equipment. However, if you find an ornate chest, it contains a unique item.
